Morgan’s Chop House Closing Due to ‘Extreme COVID-19 Guidelines’

Popular Fayetteville restaurant Morgan’s Chop House has announced it is closing permanently. The fine-dining restaurant at 201 S. McPherson Church Rd. in the McPherson Square shopping center said “extreme COVID-19 guidelines” was a factor in the decision.

“Words cannot express how amazing it has been to serve you. The lifelong friends and memories we have made over the years will continue to have a lasting impact in our hearts,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post. “Thank you to our wonderful staff, who’s loyalty throughout the years made Morgan’s Chop House such a special place. Thank you for your patronage, but mostly your friendship, the laughs, the celebrations and your LOVE. Wishing you all peace, health and happiness in life, CHEERS!”

Chef Tommy Hinshaw co-owned the restaurant, which won numerous awards of the years, and was a high-level contributor in the community, including participating in the March of Dimes Signature Chefs events and many others.

Morgan’s joins several businesses and restaurants, including The Doghouse, in closing because of coronavirus implications.
