Easter is coming up this Sunday and families across the country will be getting together to celebrate. Last year, 81% of Americans celebrated the holiday and this year, they’re expected to spend $22-billion on it.
According to a new report, being able to enjoy the best Easter may depend on where you live.
- WalletHub’s annual list of the Best Places to Celebrate Easter in the U.S. has just come out.
- They ranked the 100 biggest cities on 13 metrics related to the holiday in the main areas of Easter Observers, Traditions, Kids’ Easter and Easter Weather.
- Cities were rated on everything from candy and chocolate stores per capita to the city’s Christian population to the egg hunts per capita.
- So where is the best place to celebrate Easter this year? Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, tops the list, coming in third for weather and traditions, and fourth for observers, but 96th for kids’ Easter.
- Birmingham, Alabama, second overall, is number one for observers, while Atlanta, sixth overall, is tops for traditions. Anchorage, Alaska, 96th overall, is first for kids’ Easter, and Madison, Wisconsin, 86th overall, is number one for weather.
- At the other end of the spectrum, Hialeah, Florida is the worst place to celebrate Easter, coming in dead last for observers and in the bottom five for everything else.
