WalletHub has just come out with their list of the Most Educated States in the U.S. for 2024.
- They rated the states on 18 key indicators of a well-educated population in the areas of educational attainment and quality of education.
- Once again, Massachusetts tops the list as the most educated state in the country, landing at number one for both educational attainment and quality of education.
- Massachusetts is home to top colleges like MIT and Harvard, and has the highest percentage of adults 25 and older with at least a Bachelor’s degree, at 46%.
- On the flip side, West Virginia lands at the bottom of the list, making it the least educated state.
Where did the Carolinas come in? North Carolina weighed in at number 22 with a score of 52.8. While South Carolina came in at number 38 with a score of 44.5.
