Fort Bragg Will Hold Fireworks on July 4th, but No Day-Of Celebration
Fort Bragg officials finally made it official: The only fireworks show in the area this year will be on post the night of July 4th. The bad news though, no day-long celebration on the Main Post Parade Field.
“Here’s the good news: Fort Bragg will celebrate July 4th with the only fireworks show in the area!!!” the installation announced on its Facebook page. “Here’s even MORE good news: For your safety, we’ll follow COVID-19 guidelines.”
Unfortunately, it came with a couple pieces of bad news. No full day of celebrations this year, and gate access is still restricted. But being the only fireworks in the area this year, after Fayetteville and Hope Mills canceled their planned shows, it’s probably worth the inconvenience.
“Here’s the bad news: Because of the second good news, we will not host our traditional July 4th Celebration on the Main Post Parade Field. Here’s even MORE bad news: Fort Bragg remains at 100% ID check for gate access. Non DOD ID cardholders or those without a valid visitor pass will not be authorized access to the installation.”
