Trader Joe’s And Other Stores Give Employees Off On Easter Sunday
As grocery store employees continue to work tirelessly, putting themselves in harm’s way to ensure that Americans get the food and supplied that they nee during the coronavirus pandemic, many big chains are planning to give those employees a well-deserved break on Easter Sunday.
Trader Joe’s announced they will be closing all stores on Easter Sunday, April 12 to allow employees a day to rest, according to the store’s website.
In addition, Aldi, Costco, Publix, Sam’s Club, and Target will also be closed on Easter Sunday, The Today Show reported. So be sure to stock up on your easter egg decorating kits in advance.
Many of these stores like Publix, traditionally close on the holiday, but this year it takes on a new meaning.
Stores that will be open on Sunday include: BJ’s, CVS, Duane Reade, Kmart, Kroger, Rite-Aid, Safeway, ShopRite, Walmart, Walgreens and Whole Foods.
