Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Canceled This Year
Victoria’s Secret Model Shanina Shaik claims the infamous show isn’t happening this year.
According to People, the model dropped the bomb to The Daily Telegraph about the fate of the annual event. “They’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show.”
Victoria’s Secret has made no official announcement confirming if this is in fact accurate.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the show probably wouldn’t be on TV anymore. Lex Wexler – Ceo of L Brands – explained to Victoria’s Secret employees in a memo that television was no longer the right fit. He stated that “Fashion is a business of change. We must evolve and change to grow. With that in mind, we have decided to rethink the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.”
“In 2019 and beyond, we’re focusing on developing exciting and dynamic content and a kind of event – delivered to our customers on platforms that she’s glued to…and in ways that will push the boundaries in the global digital age.”
