City of Fayetteville Citizens Police Academy Stars New Session in October, Sign-Ups Open
Residents of the City of Fayetteville, learn more about your Police Department at the City of Fayetteville Citizens Police Academy.
The Academy will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday from October 1, 2024 until December 10, 2024.
Depending on the topic being covered, the Citizens Police Academy will take place at the main Police Department located at 467 Hay Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina or the Fayetteville Police Department Training Center located at 670 North Eastern Boulevard in Fayetteville.
Please note, the Citizens Police Academy is limited to the first (20) to sign up.
How Do You Sign Up
The first step is to complete the Citizens Police Academy application. The link to download the application can be found below. While completing the application, you will also need to complete the Authorization to Obtain Information form.
The Authorization to Obtain Information form will allow the department to do a background check on attendees. The background check is necessary based on the sensitive nature of some of the information that will be shared.
Also and very important, make sure you get the Authorization to Obtain Information form notarized. If you need help getting your form notarized, please contact Diane Isaacs. Her information is below.
One you complete and notarize your paperwork, you may deliver the documents to the Fayetteville Police Training Center during normal business hours or you can mail the information. The address is Fayetteville Police Department Training Center, Attention: Diane Isaacs, 671 North Eastern Boulevard, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301.

The Citizens Police Academy has two goals. The first is to give attendees an indepth look at just how the Fayetteville Police Department operates. The second goal is to help attendees become more informed thus helping create a safer Fayetteville community.
