Crown Event Center in Fayetteville Interior and Exterior Designs Revealed
An exciting new design update has been revealed for the upcoming Crown Event Center in Fayetteville! Earlier this week the Event Center’s project delivery team presented new renderings of the facility’s exterior and interior spaces to the committee overseeing its construction.
Crown Event Center Details
The building will be constructed in downtown Fayetteville on Gillespie Street. The space is currently serving as the parking lot for the Cumberland County Courthouse.
Upon its completion the Crown Event Center will replace the Crown Theater and Crown Arena, both of which are scheduled to close in October of 2025. The new facility will serve as a new state-of-the-art multipurpose event center for Fayetteville’s biggest events and shows. The Crown Coliseum will remain open as well.
Design Updates
These new projections are the first update to the Crown Event Center in Fayetteville since last August, when a 3D schematic design for the venue was revealed. Not only does the facility have an updated exterior design, but details for the Crown Event Center’s interior design have also been presented.
The renderings include images from multiple angles of the lobby during both day and night, the multipurpose room and adjacent pre-function area, VIP spaces including an outdoor rooftop terrace, and views from different levels within the three-story main event hall.
Construction Timeline
While these design updates are certainly fun and exciting to look at, there’s still a lot of work to be done until the Crown Event Center in Fayetteville is a reality. The project delivery team expects to be able to officially break ground for construction in September 2024.
Construction is estimated to last until early 2027, but the team promises to continue working to shorten the timeline to complete it as early as possible.
