Massey Hill Theater Students Need Your Help to Get to International Competition
A group of theater students from Massey Hill Classical High School have an awesome opportunity to head to an international competition, but they need your help!
The theater students at Massey Hill qualified to compete at the International Thespian Festival in June in Indiana.
They’ll get to perform the one-act play “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse,” but it’s not a cheap trip.
“As many already know, our theatre program is currently raising money to travel to the International Thespian Festival National Conference. Our students have been selected to be the only school from North Carolina that will perform their one-act play, “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse”, for the festival participants. Please consider donating in any amount to ensure that our students are able to experience this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
If you’d like to help the students out, you can click here to donate online. If you’re the check mailing type, you can also send those to: Massey Hill High School: Attention Theater, 1062 Southern Ave., Fayetteville, 28306
Back in March, Massey hill students received high praise for their performances: “Two students (Eleanor Morgan and Eden Johnson) scored high enough to perform/present at the International Thespian Festival. Our one-act play, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, was selected to represent the state of NC at the International Thespian Festival – one of the highest honors in student theater. The students received perfect, superior scores from both judges.”
