Twitter announced that it will be removing “Fleets” on August 3. Those who are unfamilar, “Fleets” are posts you can add to your profile that will be removed in 24 hours, similar to Instagram “Stories” or a Snapchat post.
In a blog post, Twitter said lack of engagement is the ultimate reason for this decision, “But, in the time since we introduced Fleets to everyone, we haven’t seen an increase in the number of new people joining the conversation with Fleets like we hoped.”
But, don’t worry because Twitter will be adding new functions in order to enhance interactions on the platform, “We’re evolving what Twitter is, and trying bigger, bolder things to serve the public conversation.”

Tbf I respect that you guys tried a new feature and have openly admitted that it didn't work as you intended. Keep iterating & testing new stuff.
