Beasley Fayetteville Raises $186,177 For St. Jude
For 34 years, the Beasley Fayetteville St. Jude Radiothons have proudly supported the families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and 2020 was no different. Our 2020 Country Cares and Urban Cares St. Jude Radiothons, held December 10 and 11, raised $186,177 to help save lives and provide hope to families.
On WKML, Don Chase and Sarah proudly hosted all 13 hours of the Country Cares Radiothon. WKML has been involved with St. Jude for longer than the actual Country Cares program has even existed, with Don Chase involved every single year.
In recent years, we’ve proudly added Old School 107.7 to our Radiothon roster, and this year Kenny J, Taylor Morgan and D-Rocc brought the Urban Cares Radiothon to our audiences.
With so many challenges facing our communities this year, it would have been completely understandable if our numbers dropped dramatically. Instead, our listeners throughout the region stepped up in ways we never would have imagined.
St. Jude is an important mission for our Beasley Fayetteville stations, because of the incredible work they do. The hospital in Memphis, Tenn. provides completely FREE medical care for children battling various pediatric cancers. The average patient treatment expense is $425,000, and families never have to pay a penny for any of that. It’s because of the incredible opening of your hearts and wallets that this is even a possibility.
We’d also like to give special thanks to our corporate partners in the 2020 Radiothon, without whom we would be lost.
