“Holly Day Fair” Cancelled for 2020 by Junior League of Fayetteville
Fayetteville’s holiday shopping festival, the Holly Day Fair, has been cancelled for 2020, the Junior League of Fayetteville announced.
The Holly Day Fair event, typically held in early November every year at the Crown Expo Center in Fayetteville, brings merchants and eager holiday shoppers together for their holiday shopping. It had been scheduled for November 5-8 this year.
“After careful consideration during this time of uncertainty, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the our Holly Day Fair,” the Junior League said in a Facebook post. “We feel this is in the best interest for the safety of our guests, members, merchants, sponsors and community due to the ever changing Covid-19 pandemic and current climate.”
The move is the latest in a series of cancellations impacting the region as concerns continue to linger about exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19), including the Cumberland County Fair and Dogwood Festival.
The Holly Day Fair has been held for 52 years.
