Jennifer Lawrence Expecting Baby No. 2
Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney, who is an art gallery director, are expecting baby no. 2! The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in February 2022.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Growing Family
Lawrence, who has two brothers, is “thrilled to be pregnant again,” a source told PEOPLE. After getting married in October 2019, she took a small break from acting and focused on her personal life. She’s still an active presence in Hollywood but has embraced a more private, family-centric approach, especially now that her family is growing.
Keeping It Private
Jennifer Lawrence, despite her bubbly and goofy persona, is strictly private when it comes to her husband and child. In an interview posted in USA Today, she said she wanted to protect her child’s privacy. “Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
As a result, details about her second child are scarce. However, fans, friends and family are excited about the news.
Embracing Parenthood
It seems Lawrence will not have a hard time adjusting to having another baby since Maroney is “the greatest father in the entire world, so when I’m working, I don’t have any more guilt than the usual every day, all-day parent guilt,” she told Interview.
Fans are excited to see how Lawrence continues to evolve as a mother, an actress, and recently as a producer with her upcoming projects scheduled while also busy preparing for baby number two.
What’s Next for Her?
Despite her commitment to her family, Lawrence hasn’t forgotten about the career she spent years building. However, now, it’s a career that also includes being a producer. Recently, her company, Excellent Cadavear, has been producing documentaries, particularly those that highlight women’s issues.
She produced the documentary Zurawski v Texas about women who sued Texas after the state enacted a strict anti-abortion law. Under her company, she also co-produced Bread & Roses with Malala Yousafzai. It’s a documentary about Afghan women and their lives in Kabul under Taliban rule.
Her ability to juggle a successful Hollywood career and a thriving personal life has only added to her reputation as a grounded A-lister. As she and her husband prepare for the coming of their second child, Lawrence will likely take a break from her busy schedule. However, we’ll not miss her that much since she’ll be back soon.
