Ninth Annual Man 22 Suicide Awareness Run Set for Saturday in Fayetteville
On Saturday, September 7, 2024, you are invited to be a part of the ninth annual Man 22 Suicide Awareness Run at Festival Park in Fayetteville.
Hosted by Rngr Rick Murillo, this event will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Festival Park located at 335 Ray Avenue in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
This annual event has one mission, and that is to remember those Veterans that have fallen.
At this Saturday’s Suicide Awareness Run, you will hear the reading of the names of those Veterans that we have lost. Each Veteran will be honored and shown the respect that they earned and deserve.
Additional activities include a meet and greet, a Gold Star escort and a run of 2.22 miles.
Sadly, every day here in the United States of America, 22 Veterans commit suicide.
Rngr Rick and his team is determined to put an end to those terrible statistics. With the assistance of his non-profit organization, Through Tragedy Comes Light, Rick and his team want Veterans and their families to know that help is available. All one has to do is reach out. Not only are there a number of effective resources for those contemplating taking their own life but there are also a number of resources for the families of those left behind. As Rick says, “losing one life is too many.”
