Fayetteville Tech Adds Entertainment Technologies Degree Program
Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) has introduced a new Associate in Applied Science degree in Entertainment Technologies to prepare students for entry-level jobs in the entertainment industry, particularly in sound and lighting. Go, Trojans!
The Entertainment Technologies curriculum provides training in the technical aspects of live concerts and sound recording, as well as preparing students to manage careers in this contract-based field. Coursework covers the entire live concert and sound recording process, music fundamentals, entertainment law, marketing/promotion, and electronic music.
Graduates may find employment as entry-level crew or production assistants in concert/event setups, recording companies, or sound/lighting companies. They will also be prepared to manage their own careers or others’ careers in the sound/lighting area of professional music entertainment.
