Video Shows Former Carolina Panther Cam Newton Fighting At 7on7 Event
Former Carolina Panther Cam Newton still has some fight left in him. Unfortunately, that fight is off the field. Newton was caught on video fending off several people at what appears to be a 7-on-7 football event in Georgia. All indications say Cam was in Atlanta for the “We Ball Sports” 7v7 tournament. Fox News reports that this was the event’s first year.
A video on the ATHLON website shows Cam fighting several people at once. The fight looks like it starts under a pop up tent and then rolls out to a grassy area. Cam holds his own then another person jumps into the brawl and lands a punch. At 6′-6″ you can see in the video Newton was doing a good job of not getting tagged by any blows.
According to reports several people from a group called TSP were involved in the brawl. TSP stands for TopShelf Performance, which is an under-18 National 7v7 Program. It does seem in the video that a few of the men fighting with Cam do appear to me to look under 18.
Newton hasn’t played in the NFL since 2022. He played for several years for the Carolina Panthers then had a short stint with the New England Patriots. After that he returned to Carolina for a few games. The Maney and LauRen Show had a great relationship with Cam over the years.
Cam would come in and do a long form interview with the show every year. He hosted a successful charity kickball event called Kicking It With Cam. I hosted that event every year. Cam was always really good to me and the show. He always spook his mind. He talked a ton of trash on and off the field.
Video surfaced from a similar event a few years ago
Cam Newton was caught on video a while ago. He can be seen talking trash to a group of kids. I have a feeling that level of trash talk got heated at this 7v7 event and no one would back down.
