Get Ready to Add Some ‘Mean Girls’ Pink Creamer to Your Coffee
Next year, the Mean Girls movie, which starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried, turns 20. With October 3 being recognized as Mean Girls Day, various companies are finding ways to celebrate the film. Coffee Mate has revealed its plan to introduce a new flavor inspired by Mean Girls. They’ve announced the Mean Girls Pink Frosting Flavored Creamer, which also happens to be the brand’s first-ever pink-colored creamer.
“We’re not a regular creamer; we’re a cool creamer. That’s why Coffee Mate is thrilled to debut the category’s first-ever pink creamer with Paramount’s iconic Mean Girls movie,” said Leonardo Aizpuru, Nestlé Vice President of Brand Marketing for the Beverage Division and Business Unit. “This partnership gives our fans a chance to add a splash of pink to their coffee, as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of this nostalgic, quotable film.”
“So Fetch!”
This isn’t the only Mean Girls-inspired food product. In 2020, Pillsbury introduced the official Mean Girls Toaster Strudel to celebrate the movie. It came in two flavors: Strawberry and Cream Cheese and plain strawberry, featuring pink icing. Additionally, the packaging featured the word “fetch” spelled out in icing. They also encouraged people to submit their designs for the “The Most Fetch” Toaster Strudel Icing Sweepstakes.
Some movie theaters have also joined in the celebration of Mean Girls by offering exclusive pink popcorn all month long.
Regarding its flavor profile, the brand has described it as having hints of a “sweet, rich pink frosting flavor. The brand also suggests that it tastes like a “cake filled with rainbows and smiles,” which seems to be a more appropriate characterization.
The upcoming limited-edition creamer is scheduled for release in January 2024. It will be stocked at grocery stores nationwide in a 32-ounce bottle. The suggested retail price is $4.69. However, pricing may differ depending on the retailer.
