FTCC Foundation Golf Tournament Tees Off at Gates Four Next Week
Fore! Once again Fayetteville Technical Community College will be hosting their annual FTCC Foundation Golf Tournament. The event will take place at the Gates Four Golf & Country Club on Thursday, September 28, and is open for everyone to attend.
The tourney is always a wonderful community event according to FTCC Foundation executive director Sandy Ammons, who spoke on the importance of the event in this news release. “It’s just an opportunity for folks to come out and interact with our students, our faculty and our staff and raise money for a good cause.”
And the cause truly is a noble one. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarship opportunities and emergency assistance for all FTCC students.
The FTCC Foundation Golf Tournament has deep roots in the Fayetteville community, having been a staple of the college for a quarter century. And over the decades the tournament has helped raise over $1 million to help the student body get ahead in their academic efforts.
And this year Ammons and the FTCC Foundation team are pulling out all the stops to make this the most spectacular tournament yet! The Gates Four Golf & Country Club boasts an absolutely breathtaking course for the golfers, and meals will be catered by popular brands like Chick-Fil-A, Jersey Mike’s, and breakfast from Berkshire Hathaway.
Foundation director Ammons certainly has high hopes for what the tournament will accomplish for those attending next Thursday. “I hope that they take away that they have done a good thing to support students who are seeking an education and just realize how much they enjoyed interacting with our staff.”
The FTCC Foundation is still accepting sponsors and donors in the week leading up to the big tournament. If you’re interested in donating or sponsoring the event you can visit their event page for more information.
