The N.C. State Fair is a fan favorite Fall festivity among those in the Tarheel state, myself included. In 2022 the fairgrounds brought in a monumental attendance of over 960,000 fairgoers, the highest attendance in four years. And this year they look to soar even higher as Casey Cardinal promises the #BestDayEver for you and the crew!
Things are still pretty hush hush as of right now, but you can get a sneak peek at some of the new free grounds entertainment features on the State Fair’s website. From bird shows, to giant robots, to one-handed jugglers, it’s clear already that there will be something for everyone at the fairgrounds this year!
Applications are also open for many of the competitions featured at the State Fair. In a recent news release, competitive exhibits coordinator John Buettner spoke on the importance of these competitions. “With 4,027 classes of competitions available for entry, there is truly something for everyone. We love to see all of the talent in our state, so don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of one of North Carolina’s most cherished traditions.” You can apply for State Fair competitions here.
Don’t miss your chance to have some fun at the NC State Fair! I’m already looking forward to seeing the sights, riding the rides, and scarfing down some of the deep-fried delicacies offered at one of their many vendors. Everyone knows fair food doesn’t have any calories, right?
