Cumberland County Schools Releasing Early Tuesday for Weather
Cumberland County Schools has announced a 1-hour early release for schools on Tuesday, January 25.

According to the National Weather Service, inclement weather is forecasted to move into the Cumberland County region this afternoon, including severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, rain and potentially dangerous wind gusts. Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students, employees, and families in mind, Cumberland County Schools (CCS) will release students and staff at all schools and district offices one hour early today, January 25, 2023. Students enrolled in classes at Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College and College Connections should contact their instructors for additional guidance.
The district’s Prime Time Before & After School Program will remain open two hours after the release time at each school site. All athletic events and after-school activities scheduled for today will be canceled or rescheduled.
