Four Fayetteville Area Football Players Make Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Roster
Four high school football players from the greater Fayetteville region have made the annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas roster.
The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas matches up the top seniors from North Carolina high schools against their counterparts from South Carolina. This year’s game is set for December 17 at Spartanburg High in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The four players selected to the game from schools in our region are:
- Joshua Jones, Westover – Quarterback
- K’Marion Baldwin, St. Pauls – Running Back
- Brandon Sanders, South View – Wide Receiver
- Roston Barber, Pinecrest – Offensive lineman
In addition to those four players, South View High School coach Rodney Brewington will serve as an assistant coach for the game.
The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas wasn’t held the last two years because of COVID-19, so the 86th playing of the game marks a return to normal.
