Gayle King Is Banning Unvaccinated Family Members From Thanksgiving
Gayle King is not letting unvaccinated family members ruin her holiday plans.
King told Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical advisor to the President, on CBS This Morning that she has told several family members about the importance of being vaccinated.
“I have this problem with some members of my own family, which I’m now going to ban for Thanksgiving vacation. That’s how strongly I’m taking what you’re saying,” she told the infectious disease expert on Monday on the show.
She continued: “I don’t know how many more times you can say to people, ‘Listen, it will save your life.'”
Dr. Fauci appeared on the morning show to stress the importance of being vaccinated and inform people about the new highly contagious Delta variant that’s affecting so many Americans. Per CNBC, the Delta variant accounts for over 50% of the COVID cases in America right now.
“We really to get more people vaccinated because that’s the solution,” he told King. “This virus will, in fact, be protected against, with the vaccine.”
According to the report, new cases are up 66% this week but Dr. Fauci insured that the vaccine “does very well against the Delta variant.”
