Natalie Portman And Kat Dennings: Thor Castmates Miss Each Other
Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings last shared the big screen together in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. Since then, Portman made a small, surprise cameo in Avengers: Endgame, while Dennings recently returned on WandaVision as Dr. Darcy Lewis.
Neither character appeared in the last Thor album, Ragnarok , but Portman is returning to the franchise: she’s currently in Australia filming the upcoming Thor film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Sadly, it seems to be without her gal pal Dennings.
Portman shared the grief of missing her friend on Instagram, to which Dennings commented “Oooh I miss you so much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Comicbook.com reported a story in how Dennings part in Thor: The Dark World was inspired for a bigger part due to her friendship with Portman.
Dennings said, “Because Natalie and I are already friends, I remember this exactly. I walk in the room and I’m very shy. I came in and I sat down and Natalie hadn’t gotten there yet and everyone was so nice. Natalie came in and sat on my lap because we’re friends. I think our friendship started to infect them [like] its purity and love. Slowly, Darcy became more involved, and I was like, ‘Why are they adding me to scenes?’ If I am being honest, friendship magic is the reason I’m here today.”
Though there has been no official word on whether Dennings’ Darcy will appear in the MCU again, Marvel producer Mary Livanos recently teased that the character could pop up anywhere saying, “We love Darcy as this elusive, wacky character, and I find it particularly delightful that Darcy could pop up anywhere in the universe.”
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled to hit theatres on February 11th, 2022.
