IHOP Has Canceled ‘National Pancake Day’ But There’s Still Pancakes Up For Grabs
The coronavirus has ruined yet another thing: National Pancake Day. IHOP was supposed to have the big day today, but because of COVID-19, they have shelved it. But they are still looking out for customers and are still offering free stacks pancakes.
The company said in a press release, “At IHOP, our top priority is the safety of our guests and team members. Given nothing about this past year has been ordinary–and while we look forward to celebrating National Pancake Day with guests under our blue roof in the future—we recognize it’s not possible to gather millions of our closest family and friends in our restaurants on a single day this year.”
So instead, IHOP will switch things up. They state, “Since we can’t all celebrate under our blue roof, we’re flipping this National Pancake Day on its head. Sign up for MyHOP®today for an IOU sent straight to your inbox on April 1!”
Per Delish, you can either already be a MyHop email club member, or you can register to become one to get the free food. And you can sign up either on their website or through the IHOP Mobile App.
If you don’t want to sign up for the email club, you can still get your free pancakes in April, but you’ll have to make a purchase that is a minimum of $10.
