Fayetteville’s ‘Christmas In The Park’ to Be Drive-Through Only This Year
The City of Fayetteville announced that its annual “Christmas in the Park” at Arnette Park, will be held this year, but will only be a drive-through light display. Because of the elimination of the walk-through portions this year, the event will also be free. The event opens in December.

From the City of Fayetteville:
“Christmas in the Park Powered by Fayetteville PWC” is scheduled to take place in December. This year’s event will be a drive-thru display of lights at Arnette Park. The event will be free for everyone. Please see the schedule below for select dates of operation. The display of lights will span approximately 1 mile.
Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation and Fayetteville PWC will work to preserve this tradition with safety as priority. In years past, visitors could exit vehicles. This year, everyone must stay inside their vehicles and view the lights. The drive-thru display is the only attraction. Hopefully, other festivities (train rides, crafts) can resume in the future.
PWC is a new partner for the event. PWC staff members installed electrical outlets this week at the park. PWC’s pre-installed outlets eliminate any need for daily set up and removal of generators.
“We thank Fayetteville PWC for supporting the execution of this holiday production. Christmas in the Park began in December 2010, and for the first time we can celebrate with free admission for visitors. PWC’s electrical and financial investments will help us showcase a winter wonderland, during a time that’s been tough for communities around the world,” Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation Director Michael Gibson said.
