Man Charged With Assault After Farting In Uber
A UK man is in hot water after an incident he had with his Uber ride. Per the New York Post, the man was charged with assault after farting in an Uber then attacking the driver for reacting.
The outlet states, “The odiferous incident reportedly occurred last year when Kingswood’s James Mallett, 35, let it rip in the back of the ride while on the way to a local nightclub with three other people. This was the ‘final straw’ for the Uber driver, named Aleksander Bonchev, who had allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of other passengers.”
After the fart, the driver instructed Mallett to leave the vehicle. Mallett then got angry and struck him in the head. Bonchev responded by punching Mallett and knocking him to the ground.
The gassy man received a six-month-jail term, a $650 fine, and 120 hours of community service. The driver, who broke his finger in the incident, lost his Uber job, vehicle, and house.
