Is A British AirBNB Body-Shaming Potential Customers?

Hosts of an Airbnb in England have come under fire for one of the rules in their listing which some people are calling out as discriminatory, according to Fox News.
The listing in question is for a property called “Bobbit’s Lair” in Sandwich, Kent, described as a two-floor medieval castle. The 600-year-old cottage rents for $265 a night, but hosts Zsu and Marcus have some very specific lists of rules for those who rent it. While some of the rules seem understandable, like no smoking, or no loud music after 10, Zsu and Marcus were being blasted online for one that read, “NO persons with eating disorders may book we have a maximum weight 100kg (220 pounds) [per person].”
Social media user Lindsay McGlone, who calls her self a “fat activist” and “fierce fat feminist,” shared the posting on her Instagram page, and called on Airbnb to do something about the “horrendous listing.” Apparently that drew enough attention for Zsu and Marcus to adjust their rules, taking out the part about the eating disorders, although they kept in the weight restriction. They later explained it was necessary to protect the home, which has “very old oak beams.”
