Cumberland County Library Providing e-Cards for All Residents
From the Cumberland County Public Library:
The Cumberland County Public Library is offering temporary e-Cards to Cumberland County residents without library cards. These cards will provide access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines, online databases, continuing education courses, music and more.
Residents can submit their requests through the “Ask Us Live” library chat service at www.cumberland.lib.nc.us, or by emailing library@cumberland.lib.nc.us. Residents will need to provide the following information: first and last names, date of birth, current Cumberland County address and email address.
The card information will be emailed, and the card will be good for 60 days. Once the library reopens to patrons, card holders can bring in their ID and request a permanent library card to continue access.
Cardholders can access digital resources through the website, cumberland.lib.nc.us. For further assistance or to talk to a librarian from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., residents can call 910-483-7727 or receive assistance through the chat feature at cumberland.lib.nc.us.
Cumberland County closed all eight library branches to the public and volunteers until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Visit www.co.cumberland.nc.us/covid19 for more information and resources. During the closure, all late fees will be waived. Patrons may return materials to drop boxes located outside each library.
