Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Cancellation Is Confirmed
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show is officially done.
Per E! News, Stuart Burgdoerfur, the chief financial officer and executive vice president of L Brands, confirmed the news on a conference call.
He said, “We’ll be communicating to customers, but nothing that I would say is similar in magnitude to the fashion show… You can be sure we’ll be communicating with customers through lots of vehicles including social media and various, more current platforms, if you will.”
This news come after last season’s show had the lowest ratings of all time. The brand has also been under fire in the past for not being inclusive.
Back in July, model Shanina Shaik told the Daily Telegraph that the show wasn’t happening. “Unfortunately the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year. It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen, which I’m pretty sure about,” she said. “I’m sure they’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it’s the best show in the world.”
