Robert Downey Jr. loves Spider-Man 3,000 — and there are photos to prove it.
RDJ and Tom Holland went hiking amidst the Spider-Man drama. “We did it Mr. Stark,” Holland captioned the photos, which show the guys on a scenic trail making a few funny faces. They even spent a little time playing with their action figures.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Spider-Man could leave the MCU after Sony Pictures, who holds the film rights to the character, turned down a deal from Disney to share the rights. The two had been a part of an unprecedented deal to co-own the character’s rights, which allowed for Holland’s Spidey to join the Avengers.
While fans immediately worried about the fate of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Disney is telling fans not to worry just yet. Even Jon Favreau, who plays Happy Hogan, is hopeful the two will come to an agreement. After all, Happy just started dating Peter Parker’s Aunt May. “You never know what’s going to happen,” he told Variety at the D23 Expo on Friday (Aug. 23). “I’m holding out hope and being optimistic that this isn’t the final chapter of the story between those characters.”
Even if Spider-Man isn’t a member of the MCU, don’t worry, these photos prove he’s still cool with Iron Man.
