This ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Deleted Scene Teases Where Gamora Goes Next
For those who wish there was more Gamora in Avengers: Endgame, you’re in luck. A new Endgame deleted scene shows where Gamora goes next. And it’s safe to say, there will be spoilers ahead.
On Friday (July 26), USA Today shared an exclusive deleted scene that will appear on the Blu-ray/DVD release, out Aug. 13. In it, fans get an extended look at Iron Man’s death scene. While the theatrical version has his fellow Avengers paying tribute to him at his funeral, this scene shows them bending the knee to Tony Stark right after his passing.
Hawkeye is the first to honor Stark, before Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Captain America follow suit. But, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) chooses not to. Instead, she walks off alone. While it might seem rude, to be fair, this Gamora, doesn’t know Tony Stark. She’s not the person who was sacrificed by her dad, Thanos in Infinity War. Instead, she is the daddy-hating space assassin we met in Guardians of the Galaxy.
For those that wondered where Gamora was at the end of Endgame, this scene helps answer that question. No, she didn’t fade away with Thanos, but she has disappeared for the time being. Let’s assume Star-Lord will be looking for her in the next Guardians movie, which was not announced as part of Phase 4 of the MCU. This means fans might have to wait a little longer to know where Gamora went.
