Here’s What You Need To Know If You Have Trash Pickup On Thursday Or Friday
Due to severe weather conditions expected with Hurricane Florence, trash pick up has been canceled in Fayetteville for Thursday and Friday.
According to the Fayetteville Observer, Nathan Walls made the announcement today on behalf of the city.
The trash pickup cancellation also includes recycling and yard waste.
Make-up trash collection dates will be announced after officials assess the damage from the storm, in addition to when it is safe for crews to resume trash pickup.
In the meantime, the city urges all residents to secure any outdoor trash or trash containers inside a safe structure, such as a shed or garage.
City employees are currently working to clean out storm drains in the area — To help reduce the likelihood of flooding.
