Michelle Branch and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney are splitting after being married for three years. Spoiler: This split will be anything but pretty.
In a since-deleted tweet, Branch shared, “Just found out my husband cheated on me with his manager Haley McDonald from Full Stop Management while I was home with our 6 month old daughter.” (The couple also has a 4-year-old son.)
Branch would say in a statement to People, “To say that I am totally devastated doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel for myself and for my family. The rug has been completely pulled from underneath me and now I must figure out how to move forward. With such small children, I ask for privacy and kindness.”
Branch and Carney began dating while he co-produced her album Hopeless Romantic, which came out in April 2017. They were engaged in July 2017 and would marry in April 2019. It was Branch’s second marriage and Carney’s third.
