Daniel Dae Kim Is A Zaddy, Proven In Just Five Photos

Daniel Dae Kims’s latest role has earned him a lot of fans thirsting over him, declaring him the newest zaddy on the scene. While reading thirst tweets ahead of the live-action premiere of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kim stars as the antagonist, Fire Lord Ozai. Besides being dubbed a zaddy, Kim is also called a “gigachad.” The compliment comes from having a ripped physique and chiseled, square jaw — both of which Kim possesses.

Kim was born in Busan, South Korea on August 4, 1968. He moved to the US when he was one year old, later graduating from New York University’s Graduate Acting Program in 1996. After graduation, he made a name for himself on various television programs like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, Charmed, The Shield, Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, and ER. His film credits include American Shaolin, which enabled him to showcase his Tae Kwon Do skills. He then had small roles in Spider-Man 2, Crash, and Hulk. His breakthrough role would be on Lost, where he was a regular cast member from 2004 to the series finale in 2010. Rightfully so, the actor was named one of People‘s “Sexiest Men Alive” in 2005.

Kim’s Rise in Entertainment

Following Lost, Kim earned a role in the Hawaii Five-0 reboot, then in the Good Doctor. Kim also lent his voice to the video game series Saints Row as Johnny Gat, two episodes of Justice League Unlimited as Metron in the same year, and Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon as Chief Benja. He would also embark on theater projects, The King and I in England, before making his Broadway debut in the same play. Kim’s latest role in the Netflix live-action Avatar series is sure to make him rise in popularity even more. Thus, we compiled a list of evidence on how Daniel Dae Kim is the newest zaddy.   • Strange Things

    Whew, someone has to pick our jaw up off the floor with this photo. While attending the play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow back in December, Kim showed up to the event in a tailored black suit with black rimmed eyeglasses. There is something about a man with a chiseled face like his wearing glasses and a suit that has us all swooning. One person said in the comments section, “Always so dapper.” Others complimented the man’s talents and overall good looks and style.

  • Nerdy Hot

    Kim’s outfit screams “Nerd!” But with that white turtleneck and fantastic smile, he is anything but that. With his shoulders back and his hands in his pockets, the actor exudes confidence and joy while attending the Sundance Film Festival in January. Interestingly enough, the comments section is filled with fans expressing their love and support for him without being overtly thirsty. Mirroring Kim’s wholesome aura, folks were commenting things like, “my favorite person in the world!!!” and “so so proud of you dan.”

  • Swinger

    It’s hard for us to keep our eye on the ball when DDK has a form like that! From this shot of the actor getting “ready for the weekend,” Kim practices his technique at a driving range. His khaki shorts and fitted t-shirt show off all his bulging muscles, clearly resulting a result of his work in the Netflix Avatar series. Fans were not tempering down their thirst over this post. One fan commented, “I don’t know golf but I know a sweet swing when I see one, whew.” Another fan simply proclaimed: “VASCULAR.”

  • King of Neverland

    Exuding absolute joy on the Broadway stage, Kim raises his arm up as he holds a giant leather book that reads Peter Pan on the front. As the Narrator of the theater production, Kim sprinkles fairy dust in triumph. Taking on a more comedic role than the serious dramas fans are used to, this version of the actor is entirely too sweet. Fans complimented his performance in the small amount of time given to rehearse, with some buying tickets just to see him. One person wrote: “ZADDY BAE KIM was so good last night. You can see his cheekbones from the cheap seats.”

  • Dadbod Where?!

    It seems as though our screens are frozen on this photo, or we just can’t stop staring! The golden light hitting DDK’s chiseled body and perfect face is something we can hold on to for the rest of our lives. The Instagram post from June 2022 has the actor calling his physique a “dadbod” and we are crying at how wrong or hilariously sarcastic he is. He wrote in the caption that he’s been “getting some feedback of late” that his feed has become “too serious.” In order to give his fans the opposite of serious to “mix it up,” he presented this “frivolous, gratuitous and totally superficial” image of himself for everyone who “likes this kind of thing” and we are here for it!
