Help Fayetteville Families in Need with USPS Operation Santa

The United States Postal Service and Jolly Old St. Nick have teamed up to help families in need this holiday season with the USPS Operation Santa. USPS Operation Santa has been around for the past 109 years and provides children and families with some holiday magic to those who are in need. If you are in need of some help this holiday season you can simply write a letter, put it in an envelope affixed with a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, and make sure you include your full return address — apartment number, directional information (i.e., E Main St, Apt 103) and ZIP Code — and send it to Santa’s official workshop address: Santa Claus 123 Elf Road North Pole, 88888 Whatever you choose to write in the letter is up to you, but USPS suggests the more specific you are with sizes, colors, styles, and specific books and toys the better chance your wish list will be granted if your letter is adopted. Letters must be postmarked by Dec. 10 and will be uploaded to USPSOperationSanta.com through Dec. 15 for potential adoption. There is no guarantee letters submitted will be adopted. On the other hand if you would like to adopt a letter you can starting Nov. 29 by going to USPSOperationSanta.com and creating an account. For security reasons, all prospective adopters must be vetted through a short registration and ID verification process before they can participate. If someone has adopted letters in the past, they must still be verified each year. Once approved you can read through the posted letters and choose one or more you’d like to fulfill.
