An Australian Olympian went viral over the weekend for receiving zero points for her breaking performance. However, she doesn't seem to be fazed by the critics. Breakdancing was one of the most anticipated events at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. It was the first time the sport was included in the Olympic games and people couldn't wait to see what was in store. Well, it didn't disappoint. The audience was treated to a unique show, including one participant receiving zero points for her breakdancing performance. How's that possible? We've never seen anything like it in the games before. In the end, Canadian Phil "Wizard" Kim took home the gold for men's breakdancing and Ami Yuasa of Japan won gold in the women's competition. I was shocked when I saw the men's breakdancing gold was won by a Canadian. Some other competitors have gotten some attention and not for the best of reasons. Australian Rachael "Raygun" Gunn is also getting a lot of attention for her breaking performance for which she received zero points. Zero! How's that possible? After watching the performance, you might understand. Is she actually trolling us all? Look, I'm no dancer. However, if the party and mood is right I'll bust a move. I kid you not when I jokingly dance, it ends up kind of looking like what Raygun was doing out there. It's...goofy, that's for sure. She fakes a yawn at her opponent's dance before starting her own. At one point it appears she's even hopping around like a kangaroo? It's definitely not as smooth as the other routines we saw during the competition. However was it worth a zero? I'm sure one of those moves had to count for something! To train hard (I imagine) and to go overseas to compete you'd certainly expect to leave with a better score. According to BroBible, Gunn said, "All my moves are original. Creativity is really important to me. I go out there and I show my artistry. Sometimes it speaks to the judges and sometimes it doesn't.
