COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Set for Cumberland County High Schools

Cumberland County Schools and Cape Fear Valley Health have partnered to offer COVID-19 vaccination clinics at 10 high schools in the county this July and August. The clinics are designed for students and families to all be able to get vaccinated at locations close to their homes. The clinics are all walk-in clinics with no appointment necessary. “The clinics will be a family affair,” said Shirley Bolden, CCS’ director of Health Services. “We are excited to offer the opportunity for eligible students and their families to ‘take their shot!’ We encourage families to attend together, as getting vaccinated will help protect everyone from COVID-19. We are grateful to Cape Fear Valley Health for their continued partnership and support as we do our part to defeat COVID-19.” COVID-19 vaccination first dose clinics for Cumberland County Schools will be on July 14 and July 15 (see full schedule below) at 10 of the area's high schools. The second dose clinic will be held August 4 and August 5. All individuals ages 12 and older can now receive the Pfizer vaccine. Families and students are encouraged to head to the school you are zoned for, but it is not required. Early College and Virtual Academies students can attend their home school district for vaccinations.
