Cardi B Partners With Fashion Nova To Give Fans $1 Million During COVID-19 Pandemic
On Wednesday (Apr. 8), Cardi B announced that she was partnering with Fashion Nova to give fans $1,000 an hour until May 20 for a total of $1 million.
“Thank you guys for supporting me and [Fashion Nova], I teamed up with them to help those that have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs,” Cardi B wrote in the caption of a video she posted on Instagram announcing the partnership and initiative.
“#FashionNovaCARES & I are giving away $1,000 EVERY HOUR until we’ve given away $1 MILLION DOLLARS to those directly affected by this crisis.”
Cardi B asked her fans to tell her and Fashion Nova how the $1,000 can help them “during these times.” ” We’ll be reading your submissions and selecting stories every day,” Cardi B wrote before also advising her fans to “PLEASE make sure that your Instagram is public because I will also personally be looking thru these submitted pages. Starting NOW!”
In Cardi B’s video, the Bronx rapper explained how a lot of fans have been reaching out to her during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’ve been getting a lot of DMs from people in need. Me and Fashion Nova came up with a way that we are going to give out $1,000 an hour,” Cardi said in the video before explaining the directions further.”We love you guys and we are so thankful that you guys have been supporting us for so long. It’s time for us to support you guys back.”
Cardi B also told her fans that sometimes it’s okay to ask for help when you need it before hilariously singing a short rendition of the late Bill Withers’ 1972 hit song “Lean On Me.” Fans can enter the contest by visiting Fashion Nova here.
