Alex Rodriguez’s Sweet Tribute To Jennifer Lopez Was The Real Winner Of The Golden Globes
Jennifer Lopez went home from the Golden Globes empty-handed, but she’s still a champion in fiancé Alex Rodriguez’s eyes. After the awards show, in which the Hustlers star lost the prize for Best Supporting Actress to Marriage Story‘s Laura Dern, A-Rod wrote a special tribute to J.Lo. He wanted to let her know “it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion.”
Rodriguez, who was J.Lo’s cameraman and “security” at the Globes, took to Instagram after the awards show to celebrate the woman he loves for being an inspiration to so many. This includes “millions of young women” that she’s empowered throughout her life. The “countless musicians, dancers, actresses, and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success.” And of course, her friends and family who watch in awe of all she’s done in her life.
“To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion,” he wrote. “And don’t you ever forget it.”
Lopez’s response to Rodriguez’s sweet message was just as good: “You are my everything.” And this exchange is ours.
