College Football Player Passes Away After Shooting In North Carolina
A college football player in North Carolina has died after a shooting while at another University.
Winston-Salem police have said the football player, who has been identified as Najee Ali Baker, 21, was shot on the campus of Wake Forest University.
Baker was a student at Winston-Salem State University.
Authorities who responded to the incident found Baker suffering from a gunshot wound. According to WNCN, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
Police from both schools are still investigating what led up to the altercation. At this time, they do not have a suspect in custody.
