Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski Sued Over Fyre Festival
It’s been over two years since the legendarily disasterous Fyre Festival, but those involved in it are still dealing with the fallout. Models involved in promoting the event, like Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski, are being sued over the money that was paid to them.
E! News has gotten ahold of court documents that show that artists booked to play the festival, including Migos, Pusha T, Tyga, Desiigner, and Blink-182 are also getting hit for their involvement with the doomed festival. The documents state, “The trustee is seeking to recover money paid to talent agencies, performers, vendors and other entities involved in the marketing and failed execution of Fyre festival.”
The lawsuit is saying that these celebs made an absurd amount to promote Fyre Festival on social media. Jenner received $275,000, Ratajkowski made $299,000, and Blink-182 was paid $500,000.
Fyre Festival was supposed to take place in 2017 but drastically fell apart due to incompetence, among other things (the festival has spawend two docuemntaries detailing what went wrong). The “mastermind” behind the festival, Billy McFarland, is currently serving six years in prison.
