Cardi B Pens Daughter A Song Over Eve’s ‘Love Is Blind’ Beat
Time flies. On Wednesday, Cardi B and Offset’s daughter Kulture turned one-year-old.
In true Cardi fashion, the Bronx rapper took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday by sharing a song that she wrote for Kulture.
The song is over the instrumental of Eve’s 1999 single “Love Is Blind,” which came from the Philadelphia rapper’s debut album, Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryder’s First Lady.
After thanking her fans for wishing Kulture a Happy Birthday, Cardi B explained how the song came to fruition.
“Thank you, everybody, for wishing my sweet baby a Happy Birthday,” Cardi wrote in her caption.
“I made this song one day before I turned in my album and Eve gave me the green light for the beat I was so grateful! She a real one.”
According to the “Money” rapper, the song didn’t make it on time to be included in her Grammy Award-winning debut album, Invasion of Privacy.
“It didn’t make it on time tho cause as you can hear I was [mad] stuffy with a terrible cold,” the mother of one explained.
“I couldn’t get it right no matter how many times I spit it. Even when we try to mix it u still sound stuffy.”
Cardi B concluded her Instagram post by stating that she loves her daughter, and she changed her life.
“I’m seeing all my business while I’m scrolling the phone/I was hoping that we can have this moment alone but/ Ain’t no secret that the internet ain’t sacred/And with these blogs it seems like nothing is sacred. I ain’t even meet you, and I love you to death/Going live on TV. I hid you under my dress,” Cardi raps on the track.
