Kylie Jenner Slams A-Rod’s Claim That She Bragged About Being Rich
Kylie Jenner wasn’t here for Alex Rodriguez’s comments about her allegedly bragging to him and Jennifer Lopez about how rich she is at the Met Gala.
The billionaire makeup mogul took to social media yesterday to dispute the claim, insisting she never once brought up money.
It all started when Rodriguez gave an interview to Sports Illustrated, where he discussed his table at the Met Gala in May. Not only did he call out Jenner, but he also referred to Idris Elba as “The black guy from The Wire” and Henry Golding as “The Asian gentleman from Rich Asians.”
“We had a great table,” he told the mag. “The black guy from The Wire — Idris Elba, yeah, and his new wife [Sabrina Dhowre]. Some famous singer next to me, I don’t know what her name is. Versace — Donatella. We had Kylie and Kendall. And we had an Asian gentleman from Rich Asians, the lead.”
When it came to Jenner, the reporter asked him what they spoke about and he said, “Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is.”
Almost immediately, the headlines exploded about Jenner’s alleged comments. In response, late Tuesday, she retweeted a People Magazine story, writing “umm no I didn’t We only spoke about Game of Thrones.”

In rapid response, which The Cut cited as proof that Rodriguez is afraid of the Kardashian-Jenner machine, he responded: “OMG that’s right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove.”
