Seth Meyers Goes Day Drinking With Rihanna and the Result Is Glorious
Seth Meyers was basically all of us when he got seriously drunk and fanned over Rihanna.
The two got together to tape a day drinking segment for Meyers’ show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and it’s essentially 11+ minutes of what you’d expect from any day drinking experience. She gives him sex advice; he tests out pickup lines on her. She gives him a makeover; he starts awkwardly singing her songs. It’s hysterical and awkward and embarrassing in a way that only day drinking can be.
At one point, Meyers makes a series of Rihanna-specific cocktails, named after her songs. They included “Under my Rumbrella,” “We Found Veuve in a Hostess Place” and “B*tch Better Have My Bunny.” Rihanna looked about as impressed with the taste as you’d expect.
He also asked the singer, beauty and fashion mogul what she would have been if she had not pursued a career in Hollywood.
“I actually wanted to be a pilot,” Rihanna said, adding that she didn’t feel she had the grades to make it. Meyers responded by agreeing with her, noting that he would want a pilot with bad grades.
“You want your pilot to be like, ‘Hey, we’re about to take off. I got a D in Science,” he joked.
