Three Teens Dead After High Speed Chase In South Carolina
Three teens are dead after leading officers on a high speed chase in South Carolina.
According to WISTV, the incident unfolded last night in Irmo, near Columbia.
Police spotted the vehicle speeding and attempted to pull the car over. At that time, a high speed chase ensued. When officers ran the plates, they realized the car had recently been reported stolen.
During the chase, the driver of the vehicle lost control of the car and crashed.
In total, six teens were in the car at the time the crash occurred. One of the occupants died at the scene, while two others died after being transported to a nearby hospital.
The conditions of the three other passengers are not known at this time.
Authorities also recovered a firearm at the scene.
The names of the people in the vehicle have not been released at this time.
