Hailee Steinfeld Performs At Vigil For Teenage Fan
Hailee Steinfeld attended and performed at a candlelight vigil for 16-year-old fan Leah, who died in a go-kart accident.
Leah was honored in a vigil by family, friends, classmates, and teachers from New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New York on Wednesday night.
One of Leah’s teachers tweeted to Hailee about the vigil on Tuesday, and within two hours, Hailee’s manager had responded saying she would be there.
“Thank you guys all so much for asking me to come here and honor Leah,” Hailee said in a video posted to social media.
“You all had so many incredible things to say about her, I really would have loved to have met her,” she continued. “I know she was supposed to come to my show this summer, so I wanted to come here and sing a song for her.”
