Charlotte: Upcoming Christmas Events
There are so many activities and festivities right here in Charlotte to do during this holiday season. Here are some of the most exciting ones that are coming up.
Family
There are so many things to do during the end of the year as we celebrate. In my family, we make it a tradition to always see the Christmas lights a couple of weeks before Christmas and, of course, visit places that are decked out and fun.
It’s also a time when we go to many festivals, flea markets, and Christmas markets to pick out just the right gifts for those in our family and those we love.
Real Christmas Trees
Some people even have a tradition of getting a real live Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, and there are plenty of trees lots right here in the area, as well as tree farms, where you can do just that.
Holidays At The Hall
At The NASCAR Hall of Fame, you can snap a picture in front of the 30-foot Christmas tree glimmering with thousands of LED lights, stroll through the twinkling trees in the Ceremonial Plaza, or shop for NASCAR Themed gifts in the gift shop.
In keeping with the NASCAR tradition, fans can also drive through the light show at Charlotte Motor Speedway with over 5 million lights. General admission is $45 per vehicle, and the Express Lane is $75 per vehicle.
The 15th season of the Southeast’s largest drive-thru holiday light show is on a four-mile course that includes the legendary oval, pit road, and infield road course.
The trail is located at 5571 Concord Pkwy South, in Concord.
Mount Holidays – December 23
Mount Holidays is a winter holiday festival in a mountain area, with the main festivities occurring on December 23. The holiday parade will consist of floats, buses, bands, groups walking, and more.
It all happens on December 23, 1:00 pm – December 27 at 6:00 pm (EST). It is located at 101 S Main St, Mount Holly, North Carolina.
The Ashbury – Charlotte
The Asbury will serve a three-course dinner menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in uptown Charlotte. Dinner is $55 per adult, $25 for children under 12 (not including tax, gratuity, or beverages), and includes complimentary parking in the Fifth Third Bank parking garage behind The Dunhill Hotel.
