Today is Sunday, March 17, the 77th day of our 2024 leap year. There are 289 days left in the year.
It’s St. Patrick’s Day, Selection Day for Men and Women’s College Basketball teams, and two Sundays from arguably the most important day on the Christian Calendar, Easter in two weeks on March 31st.
There’s always a lot going on at Fort Liberty. March is no exception. Between planned activities and issues that pop up, Garrison Command deals with it all. And skillfully too! There are on-going and continuing discussions surrounding the future of EE Smith High School, the Post’s dedicated high school, with Cumberland County schools and Fayetteville neighbors in the Broadell Community where EE Smith is situated now..
We’ll discuss the planned and scheduled, as well as those problems that just pop up that Garrison Commander Col John Wilcox and his staff, led by Command Sergeant Major Greg Seymour, must deal with spontaneously. The unplanned urgent matters…include complications in road repairs and solving trash removal issues top Fort Liberty’s list this month, according to Colonel Wilcox and CSM Greg Seymour. Col. Wilcox speaks first.
