Britney Spears Slams Ryan Seacrest For Questioning Her Motherhood
Britney Spears arrives at the grand opening of the LAX Nightclub at the Luxor Resort & Casino early September 1, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ryan Seacrest arrives at 11th Annual Entertainment Tonight Party Sponsored By People September 16, 2007 in Los Angeles.
In Britney Spears’ recently released memoir, The Woman In Me, the pop star has called out another man who has wronged her. Back in 2007, Ryan Seacrest asked Spears questions that primarily revolved around her motherhood and custody battle with Kevin Federline rather than focusing on her album release at the time.
In the book, obtained by Daily Mail, Spears, 42, says the only press she did for her album Blackout was a live radio interview with Seacrest. The interview took place in October 2007 and was supposed to be about her fifth studio album, which features songs like “Break The Ice,” “Gimme More,” and “Piece of Me.” Instead, Britney recalled Seacrest asked her questions like, “‘How do you respond to those who criticize you as a mom?’ And, ‘Do you feel like you’re doing everything you can for your kids?’ And, ‘How often will you see them?'”
She continues in the memoir, “It felt like that was the only thing people wanted to talk about: whether or not I was a fit mother. Not about how I’d made such a strong album while holding two babies on my hips and being pursued by dozens of dangerous men all day every day.” At this point in her life, Spears faced her highly-publicized mental health crisis, including her infamous head-shaving and an attack on a paparazzi car with an umbrella. Around the time of her interview with Seacrest, Spears had lost physical custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Despite Seacrest’s lack of sensitivity, Spears clarified that she doesn’t hold ill will toward the media personality. She has been interviewed by him and appeared onstage as presenters with him following their 2007 interview.
Spears’ tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me is available now whenever books are sold or downloaded.

According to Kaplan, the teenagers made the decision to stay away from their mother on their own and that they have not had a single overnight stay with Britney in years. Kaplan added that Federline believes the boys love their mom, but they’re angry at her.
Kevin is annoyed Britney referred to his house as having “more weed than Ludacris, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Puff Daddy combined!!!!”
Britney’s lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, released a statement in response to Kevin sharing private videos on Instagram: “Britney Spears is a brilliantly-talented, extremely-hardworking icon, who is rightfully beloved and respected by millions around the world. The same, unfortunately, can not be said about Mr. Federline, who for reasons that are inexplicable, decided to give a gratuitous interview that has hurt the mother of his children.”
Britney’s husband Sam Asghari came to his wife’s defense on Instagram, writing about Federline, “His character is revealed by approval of the cruel 13 CShip and his loyalty to Jaimie indicates his approval at time of its conception as well.”
Asghari’s concluded his Story with a laugh, writing, “I will not comment on this matter again except to say I have a job,” with a crying laughing emoji.
