Britney Spears On Her Fling With Colin Farrell
Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, continues to make headlines as another juicy excerpt has been revealed. In an excerpt obtained by Time magazine, Spears details her passionate with Colin Farrell. Following her 2002 breakup with Justin Timberlake, the “Everytime” singer was set up on a date with the Irish actor by a “club promoter friend.” According to Spears, their relationship quickly escalated into a “two-week brawl” characterized by intense physical attraction and passionate encounters.
A Passionate Brawl
The passage obtained by the publication reveals that the pop star was introduced to Farrell during the filming of the 2003 action-thriller S.W.A.T. She recalls in her upcoming memoir: “Brawl is the only word for it — we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight.” Still reeling from her breakup with Timberlake, Spears attended the premiere of Farrell’s film The Recruit in 2003. She tried to convince herself that her connection with Farrell wasn’t anything serious and that she was merely having fun, acknowledging that she wasn’t completely over the *NSYNC singer at the time.
While at the premiere, Farrell apparently told the reporters that the two of them were “not dating” and were simply “mates.” This statement prompted Spears to leave the event as soon as the paparazzi were gone. However, in her memoir, she not only confirmed their brief romance, but she also described the Batman actor as “the cutest, hottest thing in the world.” Spears’ memoir didn’t provide further details of their fling. She does admit that for a brief moment, there could have been something more to their relationship.

In a different excerpt from the memoir, Spears said she was “devastated” after Timberlake ended their three-year relationship via text message. She reflects on how she was in Louisiana while the media portrayed her as a heartbreaker following the release of Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” music video, which implied she had cheated on him. Though she revealed she “made out” with dancer Wade Robson at a bar, she alleges that Timberlake was unfaithful with an unnamed celebrity. Spears didn’t name the person Justin cheated on her with because the woman now has a family and she doesn’t want to embarrass her, according to a source.
The Woman in Me is set to hit bookstores next Tuesday, October 24.
